The Supreme Court hearing the election petition filed by three leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has adjourned hearing to Wednesday.

The court decided to adjourn the case when it sat for the first time to hear the substantive case on Tuesday because the petitioners have not been served with the affidavits filed by two of the respondents.

Hearing was also adjourned to enable the second respondent, the Electoral Commission, to file its affidavits.

President John Dramani Mahama and National Democratic Congress (EC), first and third respondents respectively have filed their affidavits, which was yet to be served on the petitioners.
