Mahatma Otoo is expected to leave the club this summer.

Hearts of Oak chairman Togbe Afede XIV is demanding respect in the transfer saga of in-form striker Mahatma Otoo.

The Ghana international has been the subject of intense transfer talks with many reports linking him with a move to English club Sunderland.

The 21-year-old has also been linked with a move to French club Olympiique Lyon.

Hearts of Oak have however denied receiving any offers from the European clubs.

Club chairman Togbe Afede XIV confirmed an official bid has been tabled by South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.

He is however unhappy with the apparent disrespect of his club in the ongoing transfer saga of his club captain.

“Mahatma Otoo is a player of Hearts of Oak and we expect that everybody wanting to deal with Mahatma will respect Accra Hearts of Oak,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“Including people who claim to have interest on a contractual basis in Mahatma.

“We expect everybody to respect Accra Hearts of Oak and of course we expect Mahatma himself to respect his contract with Accra Hearts of Oak and all that Accra Hearts of Oak has done to bring him to the limelight.”
