Liberty push up the log after Edubiase win

A first half Liberty Professionals goal saw off a determined New Edubiase as the Dansoman side won 1-0 Saturday afternoon in the Glo Premier League.

The win lifts Liberty up the log as they are now level on points with Edubiase in the middle half of the table with nine matches to end the season.

Kennedy Ashia struck the match winner after 32 minutes at the Carl Reindorf Park, a win which gives Liberty some respite after edging too close to the relegation zone.

The defeat was Edubiase’s tenth of the season after a bright start to the campaign.

Goal scorer, Ashia now takes his season tally to nine after Saturday’s strike and is now one goal behind the leading scorer, Yahaya Mohammed of Amidaus Professionals.
