Preview: Kotoko focus on Premier League action




A busy weekend of premiership action gets underway on Saturday as the Glo Premier League reaches match-day-21 with the chase of the title still on.

The fight at the top might dominate the attentions of many but the struggle for survival is also on for some clubs as Liberty Professionals who are just one place above the drop battle it out to save their season.

Sitting second and three points behind the leaders, Berekum Chelsea’s inconsistent form has cost them the top. But they can keep their hopes alive with a home game against King Faisal.

Out of the Caf Champions League, Asante Kotoko’s title defence is still on but they will need to put in an extra effort if they are to push on from third position when Ebusua Dwarfs visits at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Agyemang Badu Park will see Aduana Stars, fourth on the table and pushing for the top engage Berekum Arsenal, who are scrapping for survival.

Hearts of Oak’s improved form will be on display when they travel to the Len Clay Stadium to take on AshantiGold. The Miners, with a game in hand have won once in their last four matches and will be eager to win all three points to lift them closer to the top-four.

Bottom of the table, Real Tamale United, who are winless after 20 matches will be home against Wa All Stars at the Tamale Stadium to wrap up the weekend’s round of games.
