Ghanaian forward Fred Benson scored all two goals for PEC Zwolle who smoothly edged relegation-trapped VVV Venlo 2-0 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Friday.

Benson, 29, scored in either halves to inspire a precious away win for Art Langeler’s side at the Seacon Stadion De Koel.

The visitors took the lead on 13 minutes when Youness Mokhtar set up Benson for his opener.

The Ghanaian-born striker then doubled their advantage in the 63rd minute, pouncing on Wiljan Pluim’s pass to net his fifth goal of the season.

The double has taken Benson’s season tally to five in 28 games.

Despite representing Holland at U21 level, the Accra-born can still play for Ghana.
