Ghana’s Under-17 are set for the 2013 African Youth Championship after their final squad members passed a mandatory CAF eligibility test on Friday, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The continent’s governing body conducted the age-cheating test for all the eight teams who will be competing from the 13-27 April tournament in Morocco.

All the 21-players picked for the tournament passed through the system.

The Ghana FA ensured each player selected in the Ghana U17 team was MRI certified before the qualifiers were played last year.

The Black Starlets will open their African Junior Championship campaign against Nigeria on 13 April before playing Congo and Ivory Coast in Group B.

Ghana must finish as one of the best two teams in the pool to qualify for this year’s FIFA U17 World Cup in UAE.
