“Prez Mahama Will Finish His 4-Year Term Whether NPP Likes It or Not”

According to Gabriel Assumeng, the lawyers of the NPP are deceiving their followers that there was over voting in the 2012 elections; adding that this will scramble the legitimacy of President Mahama.

Speaking on Okay FM, the NDC communicator said that the NPP lied and deliberately deducted some of the figures of the NDC to stop the Electoral Commission from declaring the 2012 results but could not succeed as they wrote a letter to the Peace Council to suspend the pronouncement till they produce their fake documents.

The fact that the Supreme Court has rejected the Electoral Commissions request in court to give it time to file its affidavits is not a guarantee that the petitioners have a case to win against the 2012 general elections as the NPP lawyers are saying in public.

He stressed that the only evidence available to the NPP which to him will not change the verdict is that they do not understand why there were two queues formed to cast the votes in the 2012 elections; adding that they are calling the Supreme Court to cancel the results as after both the NPP and NDC agents have signed the EC presiding officer failed to signed.

According to him, there is no single evidence in all the affidavits filed before the Supreme Court and that NPP cannot mention any polling station which recorded over voting in the 2012 general elections.

The NDC communicator said that “President Mahama will finish his 4 year term whether NPP likes it or not”, as the NPP is only buying time to convince the party hierarchy to maintain Nana Akufo-Addo for the next general elections.
