Ghanaian movie enthusiasts around the world, who long for old time classic Ghanaian films, can now heave a sigh of relief, as they can now watch such movies with just a click on the worldwide web.
Legendary Ghanaian filmmaker, Nana King, has teamed up with Turning Point Pictures to manage such distributions for movie enthusiasts across the world.
Nana, who lives in the United States of America, is currently operating a digital distribution network called ‘The Movie Depot’ on youtube.com, where film lovers can watch old classics such as Shoeshine Boy, Baby Thief, Omama, Bitter Result, Dirty Tears, and Who Killed Nancy.
Every week, new movie titles will be released ahead of the distribution. Nana King started writing and performing in 1980.
He changed the trajectory of video movies with Shoeshine Boy in Ghana.
He wrote/directed many TV dramas and acted in them. He was the first African to shoot a full length video movie in the US titled, ‘Omama’, which starred the late Kwame Owusu Ansah. He is married with three kids.
