Norwegian club Sogndal IL have decided against signing Ghanaian midfielder Albert Bruce on a permanent deal.

“He was good but not enough to strengthen our squad,” Sogndal’s assistant coach Harvard Flo has revealed.

“We have had a good picture of him, both as a person and player, but we have decided not to give him a contract.

The 19-year-old appears to have failed a two-week trial with the Fosshaugane Campus outfit.

Bruce has been searching for club since his loan spell with Polish club Legia Warsaw expired late last year.

The player originally belonging to Asante Kotoko failed to undergo a two-week trial with English Premier League side Sunderland last December due to a late acquisition of a traveling visa.
