Nigeria’s top actress, Dakore Egbuson, comedian AY, and Ghanaian Ama K. Abebrese have been named as hosts for this year’s African Movie Academy Awards, holding next Saturday, in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
Announcing this development during the week, Mr. Tony Anih, Director of Administration of AMAA said, the trio were carefully selected based on their individual skills and experinces.
‘’Each of them will bring to bear their vast experiences as celebrities, event and TV hosts to bear at the event which holds at Gloryland Cultural Centre, Yenagoa.
AY’s pedigree as a stand-up comedian is outstanding just as actress and TV presenter, Dakore is a class act. AMA K will hold the audience with her unique and definitive mastery of English language as a former British television presenter and one of Ghana’s best actresses.
The ceremony will be held next Saturday, in the Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State. The star-studded roaster is sure to bring the edition alive.
Designed to celebrate and honour filmmakers and other professionals in the industry across Africa and in the Diaspora, AMAA has come to be known as Africa’s most prestigious motion picture award ceremony.
