At last, Michael Whyte steps out with Alright

Multiple award-winner and eclectic gospel singer, Michael Whyte has at last dropped a 14-tracker with Alright as the hit track. The album which premieres on Sunday April 14 in Lagos is a mix of African traditional praise and pop laced with a good tincture of vintage Whyte Afro-centric notes.

The inspirational album has other soulful tracks like Ose Baba, Da News (both gospel dancehall super hits) , No One and Hosanna. For those with strong passion for worship, the tracks I Worship You and Alone You Are will provide a perfect spiritual medium to connect with the hosts of heaven.

This is the first time Whyte would be putting together an album but some of his songs have graced the airwaves both at home and in the Diaspora. Da News was released in 2010 and it immediately sizzled the airwaves in local radio and television stations.  It was also a hit song on Kingdom Africa on DSTV. Last year when Alright was released as a single, it featured prominently on One Gospel and Kingdom Africa both on DSTV.

Multi-talented Michael Whyte is a graduate of Performing Arts from the University of Ilorin. He has always hugged the headlines having been decorated with a Merit Award (NYSC Bayelsa State 2004), Best Male Vocal Singer (Psalmist Award 2013), Best Male Praise Worship Leader (All Singers Award 2002), Best Overall Opera Vocal (Psalmist Award 2001).

He has traversed several choirs of leading churches from Baptist to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is currently the Choir Director  of RCCG Grace Sanctuary.
