A member of the NPP’s Communications team, Richard Asante Yeboah has challenged the Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, to be of his best behaviour when addressing the media and come out of his shells to confront issues just like a brave man would.
The NPP scribe noted in an exclusive interview with Peacefmonline.com that he finds it quite ironic that Dr. Afari Gyan, joyously enjoyed the media coverage he had when his tilapia were stolen; and would turn around to insult a radio host when people want to know where he has been hiding.
The EC Chair, bared his teeth and showed the other side of his personality to Ghanaians in general and host of Oman FM’s morning show, Fiifi Boafo, in particular when the latter sought a response from him regarding the issue of his ‘whereabouts’.
The Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan is on record to have told the host of Oman FM that it was “crazy”, “stupid” and “unethical” of him to have interviewed him and streamed it live on air.
But Mr. Asante Yeboah disagreed with the way Dr. Afari Gyan engaged the media and maintained that the spinelessness exhibited by the EC chair was unfortunate and it would be right for him to “come out of his bed and address issues like a man”.
He explained that hiding behind a mobile phone and threatening people’s life was quite strange and an improper thing to do as a public servant.
