Bernard Dong Bortey played his first match for Aduana Stars on Sunday after serving his one-year Ghana FA ban last month.

He played in the MTN Ghana FA Cup round of 16 tie against Tema Youth at the Tema Sports Stadium.

Bortey lasted 70 minutes as the Fire Boys went on to eliminate their hosts 4-2 on penalties.

The former Hearts of Oak striker was handed a 12-month ban after beating up a referee in the competition last year.

With ten matches left to the end of the Ghana Premier League, it is believed he will be handed a ran out by coach Yaw Ameyaw.
