Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei has rubbished reports suggesting he could join DR Congo side Don Bosco on loan from TP Mazembe.

The 24-year-old joined the Lugumbashi-based side last October in a protracted transfer deal reported to be around $400,000.

Adjei’s arrival at Mazembe was surrounded with some sort of uncertainty as he was excluded from the Mazembe squad for the season’s CAF Champions League competition.

Despite being among Lamin N’Diaye’s regulars at the Stade du TP Mazembe, there are reports in the Ghanaian media that suggest that last season’s Glo Premier League best player could be sent on loan.

But Adjei says the reports are not correct.

“There’s nothing truthful about the reports. It’s sometimes surprising where these reports come from,” he told Accra-based Oman FM.

He played part of Mazembe’s 6-0 demolishing of Botswana side Centre Chiefs in the CAF Champions League second round tie last Sunday.
