MiDCOM Starts Operations In Ghana





MiDCOM, Africa’s largest mobile phone sales, distribution and warranty claim network is officially launching in Ghana in a bid to consolidate its position as the driving force of the Nokia brand in Ghana and neighboring countries.

As the authorized distributor of genuine Nokia phones in the country, MiDCOM will use its operations in the country to supplygenuine Nokia phones to the market and allow customers to enjoy Nokia’s quality services, utilize the exciting applications and internet-based capabilities of the Nokia devices.

Senior Nokia executives led by Managing Director, Nokia West and Central Africa, Mr. Nick Imudia will officially introduce MiDCOM as its official authorized Nokia distributor for Ghana and its neighboring countries at a cocktail event at the Holiday Inn Hotel.

The event is expected to attract over 150 guests including industry representatives and members of the business community, the Media, distributors and MiDCOM partners.

“The launch marks a significant day for ourGhana business, said Mr. Akhtar Khan, MiDCOM, Assistant General Manager.

“Ghana has been a great market for MiDCOM and Nokia; we have been here from the very start, growing to become the Nokia’s authorized dealer in the country; for the first time we will have a dedicated presence on the ground to support this growth.”

Mr. Khan explained that their extensive quality service combined with the recognition of Nokia phones as the most rugged and reliable in the world will help deliver the best service customers are always yearning to experience.

“We are officially starting our operations here in Ghana at a significant time when we are gradually spreading our tentacles to cover the whole of Africa; we are indeed very pleased to be able to expand our services to Ghana and surrounding countries”

He stated that the event will serve as a platform for MiDCOM and Nokia executives to interact with retailers and the media to know some of the challenges in the industry and how to address them.
