The ‘Daily Post’ can authoritatively report that President John Mahama has confirmed the appointment of Kwadwo Twum Boafo as the Executive Secretary of Ghana Free Zones Board (GFZB). Hitherto, he has been holding the position in an Acting capacity.
Sources within the Presidency say the President has had a close working relationship with Mr. Twum Boafo throughout the four years of the Mills / Mahama administration. During that time, President Mahama, then the Vice-President, led several successful investment promotion missions that featured the GFZB.
Now in the saddle as the Chief Executive of the country, he undoubtedly would be expecting the GFZB to play a leading role in actualizing his vision of making Ghana the preferred destination of investors in the West African sub – region.
