Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew wants Olympique Marseille to win at Lille to keep Ligue One title hunt in sight.
Les Olympians are second, seven points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain who have 64 points and make a trip to fifth-placed Lille on Sunday night.
Three points at the Grand Stade Lille Métropole would ensure Elie Baup’s side tighten their grip on second spot, a position that is also eyed by Saint-Étienne and Olympique Lyonnais.
And, Jordan Ayew who has scored seven times this season in the Ligue One, believes it is important for Marseille to keep their focus with seven games left to go.
“I didn’t think of the standings before the Bordeaux game, we have second spot now and shouldn’t let it go,” he told OM.net.
“Lyon are misfiring at the wrong time and we should take advantage.
“We must do out utmost best to ensure a decent results against Lille.
Marseille have not won the Ligue One title since the 2009/10 season.
