German-born Ghanaian girl Love Amma Konama helped the Werder Bremen women’s U17 side to beat Holstein Kiel 1-0 to clinch the North German Championship title.

The 16-year-old striker who scored in a 2-1 win over SV Meppen in the semi-finals provided the assist for Sarah Guzman to score the solitary goal of the game to help the White and Greens claim their fourth title on a row.

Konama has been with Birte Brüggemann’s girls for the past season and would be promoted to the U19s if she keeps her development on track.

She could be called up by Ghana for international assignment as European-born Ghanaians like Anita Asante and Rachel Yankey have all turned up for England.
