Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew has revealed he’s playing through the pain barrier for the French giants.

The 23-year-old has not been in his best shape for the side in recent weeks due to problems in his knee.

He picked up the injury last month and seems not to have healed properly before making a comeback onto the pitch.

The Ghanaian international has admitted he’s playing with pain-killing injection to aid the title aspirations of his side.

“Right now, it’s hard. I clench my teeth because I have a knee tendinitis. I hope it will pass quickly because it has been a while that it drags,” Ayew revealed.

”There are little pain, little discomfort. But I trust the doc. It’s okay … as long as the coach is satisfied, I continued until I get better.

”If I have to fight and be part of the team, I will continue to do so until the end.”

Ayew has scored seven times this season for the Lique 1 outfit.
