Hohoe, April 9, GNA – The Hohoe Hope Temple branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has presented Assorted items to the Children’s ward of the Hohoe Municipal Hospital as part of the Church’s 20th milestone.
The items worth GH¢ 5,000 include toys, court-sheets, pillow cases, biscuits, detergents and fruits drinks.
Pastor Benjamin Acquaye, Head of the ICGC-Hohoe branch said their gesture is a social responsibility to bring some comfort to the children, who by no fault of theirs had fallen victim to illness.
Madam Patricia Azumatse, Deputy Director of Nursing Services, receiving the items, thanked the Church for their benevolence and pledged to ‘Use the donations for the purpose for which they were given.
She appealed to other faith-based and financial institutions operating in the Municipality to emulate the ICGC example.
Climaxing the celebration in a sermon on ‘Knowing your role and place in the House of God,’ Pastor Acquaye exhorted Christians especially the youth to show the same attitude they exude in the House of the Lord to secular lives and other endeavours to glorify what Christ stood for.
‘Wherever you find yourself, know that it is a calling and make sure you distinguish yourself to the utmost ability.’
He urged the youth to lead upright lifestyles and spend quality time on activities that enhances their progressions at the workplace, school and on the farms.
An undisclosed amount of money was donated to the ward. GNA
