Ghana winger Solomon Asante is thrilled with TP Mazembe’s all-conquering demolishing of Botswana side Centre Chiefs SC in the CAF Champions League.

Asante, 22, inspired the Congolese to a 6-0 comprehensive win over their visitors at the Stade du TP Mazembe to complete a 7-0 aggregate win and progress to the second round of the competition.

A brace each from Tresor Mputu and Rainford Kalaba secured victory for Lamine N’Diaye’s men as Eric Nkulukuta and Mbwana Samata also got on the score-sheet.

Mazembe will have to overcome South African side giants Orlando Pirates to progress to the grounp stage of the competition.

While the bigger test lies ahead, Asante feels there is something to cheer about.

“It was a good win for us and I’m glad I played a crucial part of the game for my club. I hope we continue this way in the next game,” he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

Ghanaian compatriots Richard Kissi-Boateng, Gladson Awako and Daniel Nii Adjei all played part of the game for Mazembe.
