TP Mazembe’s Ghanaian quintet will travel to South Africa to face Orlando Pirates in the African Champions League final qualifying round.
Yaw Frimpong, Richard Kissi-Boateng, Daniel Adjei, Gladson Awako and Solomon Asante will fancy their chances against the South African side.
The five Ghanaian players have been impressive for the Ravens since joining them at the start of the season from various Ghanaian clubs.
Frimpong and Adjei joined the club from Kotoko while the remaining three moved from Berekum Chelsea after excelling in last year’s Champions League.
The five Ghanaians are expected to play key roles for the side in their quest to qualify to the group stage.
TP Mazembe, four time African champions, walloped Botswana side Mochudi Centre Chiefs 6 – 0 over the weekend in Congo.
The result pits them for a battle against the South African treble champions who beat Zanaco 2-1.
