Ghana striker Prince Tagoe played six minutes of Al Ettifaq’s 4-1 thrashing of Al Shabab in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old came on to replace Yousef Al Saleem in the 84th minute of the game played at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.
Tagoe’s barren spell in competitive games for the Saudi Arabian giants was however extended on Tuesday night as he failed to get on the score sheet in the home riot.
The win will see Ettifaq leap frog Al Shabab from the foot of the group to third place ahead of the other group fixture between leaders Lekhwiya and second-placed Pakhtakor to be played on Wednesday.
