Job Title: Manager, Legal
Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra Region
The Securities and Exchange Commission, a statutory body responsible for regulating the securities industry in Ghana to ensure, inter alia the orderly, fair and equitable dealing in securities, invites qualified Ghanaians for the above post.
Duties:
The applicant will report to the Head, Legal and will assist with:
- Ensuring compliance by market operators of the provisions of the Securities Industry Law including licensing, surveilling appropriate registers
- Handling all litigations for and on behalf of the Commission
- Ensuring that the Commission complies with all its statutory requirements under the securities industry laws
- Acts as Legal Counsel for the Commission during administrative hearings of the Commission
- Enforcement of the Commission’s powers under the Securities Industry Law
- Board Secretarial Duties
Qualification and Requirements
The applicants should have the following qualifications:
- BL with a minimum of 6 years post qualification working experience
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in securities regulation
- Must be computer literate
