Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra Region
The Securities and Exchange Commission, a statutory body responsible for regulating the securities industry in Ghana to ensure, inter alia the orderly, fair and equitable dealing in securities, invites qualified Ghanaians for the above post.
The applicant will report to the Head, Audit and Risk Management and will assist with:
  • Pre auditing and post auditing of expenditures
  • Ensuring statutory payments are made within the relevant period
  • Developing links with external agencies like the Internal Audit Agency
  • Co-operation with external auditors to ensure successful audit of SEC’s financial statements
  • Conducting operational audits
  • Generation of reports for management
  • Ensure records related to finances are kept accurately
  • Maintenance of organisational and professional ethical standards
  • Identify and evaluate the organisation’s risk areas
Qualification and Requirements
The applicants should have the following qualifications:
  • BSc Administration (Accounting) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 9 years post qualification experience; or
  • CA/ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
  • MBA Accounting/Finance will be an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in securities market operation is desirable
  • Must be computer literate
