Ghanaian Premier League giants Hearts of Oak could still be without trio Philemon McCarthy, Obed Ansah and Winful Cobbinah who are suffering from various degree of injuries.

Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy has had his right thumb (finger) swollen and has not been able to train fully.

Obed Ansah who rejoined the Phobians in the second round has picked a groin injury and is en route to recovery while winger Winful Cobbinah relapsed on an ankle injury but is likely to resume training this week.

The trio watched the MTN FA Cup round of 16 win over Starke FC from the Accra Sports Stadium stands.

Meanwhile Kofi Abanga resumed training last week and is likely to be named in David Duncan’s squad for the trip to AshGold on Sunday.

“Philemon McCarthy, Obed Ansah, and Winful Cobbinah are all out; but Kofi Abanga just returned from a hamstring lay-off,” head coach David Duncan said before the FA Cup game against Starke FC.

Hearts are aiming to push further up the Glo Premier League ladder and are undefeated in the last seven games (five wins and two draws) in all competitions.

They occupy the 12th position on the log with 26 points from 20 games.
