Ghana midfielder Michael Essien is in Real Madrid’s starting lineup for their Champions League second leg game away to Galatasaray.
The 30-year-old is again the preferred choice at right-back for manager Jose Mourinho for Tuesday’s game.
Essien churned out a solid display in the same position in the first leg clash that saw the Spanish champions win by a comprehensive 3-0 scoreline.
He is again expected to keep the sharp Gala forwards at bay in the match that is being played at the intimidating Turk Telekom Arena.
Real Madrid are however expected to see off any challenge to progress to the semi finals cushioned by their comfortable aggregate lead.
Real Madrid’s starting XI against Galatasary:
Diego López, Essien , Varane, Pepe, Coentrão, Khedira, Ronaldo, Özil, Modric, Higuaín and Di María.
