Court adjourns hearing in Oshodi Tapa family trial

A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, has adjourned hearing in the suit by members of the Oshodi Tapa family in Lagos, against some members of the family over the Iga Oshodi chieftaincy title, till June 3, 2013.

Trial judge, Justice Opeyemi Oke,  adjourned, after hearing in the contempt proceeding commenced before her court

Following a tussle between members of the Oshodi Tapa family over a chieftaincy title, the head of Oshodi Tapa chieftaincy family, Pa Fatai Oshodi and a member of the family, Dr. Mustapha Oshodi, filed Form 48 against some members of the family to ensure the obedience to an earlier order of the court.

The family head had alleged that the family members flouted the court order.

Two contempt applications are pending against Chief Babatunde Oshodi, Alhaji Rasaq Oshodi, Alhaji Sura Oshodi and a lawyer, Victor Otuyemi before the court, over alleged disobedience of the alleged contenors to the consent judgment delivered by Justice Ojikutu Oshode (rtd.) two years ago.
