Ace Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has bemoaned the slow pace of prosecution of an alleged quack Doctor, Joshua Drah.

Joshua Drah was arrested last year for performing illegal abortions and sleeping with several of his victims without protection.

This came to light in an investigative piece compiled by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In an interview with Citi News, Anas Aremeyaw stated that with the damning evidence available, he is disappointed the case has dragged till now.

“Certainly, I think it’s been pretty slow. I think that the evidence is straight forward. I appreciate courtroom wrangling and court room process. You see, once the man is on bail, already we know that when he was granted bail, he even went ahead and opened the clinic again and started operating; and that is so unfortunate.”

According to him, the number of victims who suffered in the hands of this quack Doctor cannot be accounted for “and this is pretty worrying.”

Anas Aremeyaw Anas therefore suggested that social institutions and security agencies should have a “quick approach and ensure that we put this matter behind us because it is about human life; it’s about people who have undergone very traumatic conditions.”
