Ghanaian striker Samuel Afum will play under new coach at Swiss side Young Boys after the club sack manager Martin Reuda and appointed Bernard Challandes in his place.

Reuda and his assistant have paid the price for the club’s poor run in the Swiss Super League after losing to bottom-placed FC Servette over the weekend.

Challandes makes a return to the club after coaching them in the 1994/95 season and achieving success with the Swiss U21 side.

Afum moved to Young Boys from Egyptian Premier League side FC Smouha and has seen regular action under Reuda.

Young Boys are without a win in their last four games and Challandes has been tasked to turn around the club’s fortunes and Afum is expected to play a key role for the new coach’s plan.
