Ghana’s telecommunication giants, MTN on Saturday partnered the Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, La Nativity Congregation, for an annual health walk.
The walk, under the theme, ‘Walk the Talk: Fitness and Fellowship’, had over 700 members wearing MTN and YAF-branded T-shirts and walking through some major streets of La.
The event took off from the church’s premises through Wireless, Apapa, Coffee Shop, Labone, La Maamli, Ajeman, Trade Fair, Palm Wine Junction and back to the forecourt of the church.
The District Pastor, Rev. Nii Teiko Dagadu, in his closing remarks, expressed his profound gratitude to MTN, called for God’s increment in their services and prayed that they will do more the next time they are called upon.
He also advised the organizers to make the walk at least a quarterly event to help foster togetherness, friendship and fellowship.
MTN also took the opportunity to register some members for their Mobile Money services.
