Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says Juventus can now shift focus to the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich haven secured maximum points over the weekend against Pescara.

The Italian champions need to overturn a two-goal deficit against the new German champions on Wednesday.

Juventus were far from convincing in the first leg match of the tie last week in Munich and must now put up perhaps their best performance of the whole season to extend their participation in the prestigious competition.

The Old Lady restored their nine-point lead in Serie-A with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Pescara on Saturday through a Mirko Vucinic brace.

Asamoah who returned with the rest of the Bianconeri squad to training on Monday says the team can now set sights on Bayern with the weekend game well cleared.

“For us it was a very important victory (win over Pescara),” he told Sky Sports.

“They are three key points, we can now prepare well for the match against Bayern Munich.”

Asamoah was an unused substitute in the first leg game but looks set for a starting place on Wednesday.
