The younger brother of Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah has arrived in Italy to undergo trials with Udinese, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
Gabriel Asamoah has joined the Serie A side for couple of tests under coach Francesco Guidolin before a decision is taken on him.
The 18-year-old will spend four weeks at the club before the decision is made whether to recruit him in the summer when the transfer window opens.
“He (Gabriel) arrived and he is very polite. This is a good thing. But now I have to see him on the field,” said Guidolin.
Very little is known of Gabriel’s playing talents in Ghana as he is believed to played for a lower division club in Kumasi.
His elder brother, who started his career in Italy with Udinese, got officials of his former club to observe Gabriel for a possibility of giving him the chance to excel in Europe.
