Asante Kotoko head coach, Mas-Ud ‘Didi’ Dramani is hopeful his charges will go past Algerian side JSM Bejaia into the next round of the 2013 Orange CAF Champions League.
The Ghana champions managed a barren draw in the first leg in Bejaia three weeks ago and their trainer is upbeat his chrages have what it takes to go past the Algerian debutants.
Below are excerpts of his interview ahead of the second leg clash on Sunday in Kumasi, Ghana’s second biggest city.
Caf: How prepared are you for the clash against JSM Bejaia?
Mas-Ud ‘Didi’ Dramani: We played an FA Cup game on Wednesday (won 4-1 against third-tier side Agbozume Weavers) and I can say everything went well. We are playing the Algerians and that result is a big boost for us.
Caf: What are your thoughts on the first leg which you ended goalless?
Mas-Ud ‘Didi’ Dramani: We went to Bejaia to take at least one point of the tie. We tried to do more, but it was difficult against a JSM Bejaia team that played with great determination.
Caf: What do you make of Sunday’s clash?
Mas-Ud ‘Didi’ Dramani: The result from the first leg is precious and we have to build on it. From my obsevations of the previous encounter, victory wont elude us and so is qualification.I’m hopeful of qualification to the next round.
Caf: Does playing at home put you under pressure to deliver?
Mas-Ud ‘Didi’ Dramani:We are not under any pressure. I have always been myself . There is no pressure on me or the playing body.
