Mas-Ud ‘Didi’ Dramani is certain that Sunday’s crucial CAF Champions first round return leg against JSM Bejaia will go Asante Kotoko’s way.
Both sides drew goalless in the first leg in Algeria but the outcome of the game at the Baba Yara Stadium will determine which side reaches the next round of the flagship club competition.
Kotoko, who shipped in eight goals in their 8-0 aggregate thrashing of Sony Ela Nguema in the previous round will be hoping to reproduce that form against the Algerian debutants and progress as they return to the Champions League after four seasons.
“We went to Bejaia to take at least one point of the tie. We tried to do more, but it was difficult against a JSM Bejaia team that played with great determination,” the Kotoko coach said ahead of the game.
“The result from the first leg is precious and we have to build on it. From my observations of the previous encounter, victory wont elude us and so is qualification. I’m hopeful of qualification to the next round.”
A goalless draw has left Kotoko in a tight situation as they would have to prevent their opponents from scoring to benefit from the away goal rule.
That seems to put pressure on the Porcupine Warriors but, according to Dramani, they are much relaxed.
“We are not under any pressure,” Dramani said.
“I have always been myself . There is no pressure on me or the playing body.”
