Wale Folarin is prepping to have the best year of his career with the anticipated release of his 3rd album The Gifted on June 25th and collaborative album with Jerry Seinfeld later in the year. However, Friday was not his day as his personal Twitter account has vanished.
Blogger turned mogul turned rapper whisperer Karen Civil tweeted that the profile deletion was not done by Wale himself:
Wale has a history of angering people on Twitter. In August of 2011, Wale got into a Twitter battle with video vixen Rosa Acosta. Wale performed at the Heineken Red Star Access Presents Roc Nation concert in Philadelphia and Acosta called Wale going in the crowd during his performance a “#CreativeIdeaFail”. Wale proceeded to call her every name under the sun including an “industry slide”. Wale later apologized to Acosta.
Wale also threatened to leave Twitter back in 2009 after a Twitter debate with DJ Semtex over Wale sending the tweet “I hate doing interviews” while being interviewed, presumably by DJ Semtex.
No official word from Wale’s representatives or Wale himself over the Twitter deletion has been released.
