Premiership rivals headline FA Cup hopefuls




Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak headline a band of nine of Premier League clubs harbouring MTN FA Cup dreams as the Round of 16 gets underway on Saturday.

The two traditional giants sides are also joined Medeama, Berekum Chelsea, Aduana Stars, AshantiGold, Heart of Lions, Amidaus and Tema Youth seeking to make their way into the quarter-finals.

However, there are second tier hopefuls equally determined to make their mark in the competition’s knockout phase.

The fourth round action starts on Saturday with Lions testing their might against Mighty Jets in Kpando.

The big fixtures are scheduled for Sunday when Medeama and Chelsea clash in Tarkwa while Hearts of Oak welcome Starke FC to the Accra Sports Stadium.

Nania FC, winners of the Cup competition two season’s ago will be in action on Monday when they visit the Sekondi Stadium to play fellow Division One campaigners, Eleven Wise.

Kotoko will wrap up the busy last 16 fixture list on Wednesday with a tricky home game against Rainbow FC in Kumasi.
