The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Security Co-ordinator.

  • Responsible for the day to day administration of the Unit
  • Planning, Organizing, Directing and Controlling of Security personnel in his team to ensure that security is effectively maintained
  • Ensure that Security Guards and watchmen are trained to be proficient in their duties
  • Ensuring that competent Security Guards and watchmen are at post
  • Organise rounds of inspections on all security locations
  • Ensure that all security procedures and standing orders are followed
  • Organising and implementing training programmes for security officers
  • Conducting investigations and periodic Security audits of all company premises
  • Submit routine reports on the Unit to the Director of Administration
  • Develop annual and other plans and budget
  • Implement the decisions of the hospital management
  • Formulate internal rules and regulations to ensure that standards are maintained and offer quality care
  • Ensure implementation of the performance appraisals system of staff in the Unit
  • Organize activities aimed at achieving best Security practice
  • Investigate theft, pilfering, issues and assaults and submit reports with recommendations
  • Educate staff on Security matters
  • Report Security matters to the Administration

  • A minimum of First Degree in Psychology or Management with training and knowledge in Safety and Security or a former Officer in Security Services not below rank of Chief Inspector or equivalent. The person should not be more than 45 years.
  • Knowledge in Client Relationship
  • Knowledge and understanding of MOH Security Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of KATH administrative set up and operating procedures
  • Knowledge of Health Safety and Security
