Godwin pleaded guilty to two charges and was sentenced to pay a fine of 25 penalty units, which is equivalent to GH¢300.

The prosecutor, Inspector Salifu Yahaya told the court that on March 14, 2013 at about 7:00 am, the convict, who was riding a motorbike with registration number GR 537 Y, was spotted by some policemen who were on duty around the Ashaiman area.

Prosecution said that the convict was subsequently asked to stop and during interrogation he failed to present valid road worthy certificate and valid insurance documents.

He was arrested and subsequently arraigned before the Circuit court.

Shortly after the court, presided over by Mrs. Lydia Osei ended its proceedings for the day, Godwin quickly pleaded with a police warrant officer at the court to help him contact some relations who would pay the said amount so as to avoid a possible jail term.
