Ziope (V/R), April 5, GNA – Mrs Juliana Azumah-Mensah, the Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope, on Friday distributed 480 RLG laptop computers to pupils in Agotime Senior High School and Ziope Senior High School.
The ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ laptops are to help the students in their academic work and make them Information Communication Technology (ICT) inclined.
Mrs Azumah-Mensah urged the students to use the laptops judiciously and not discard their notebooks for the laptops.
‘Laptops are double edge machines. They can be good and bad depending on the way you use it, so I encourage you to use them well,’ she said.
Mrs Azumah-Mensah appealed to the teachers to monitor the use of the laptops and guide students to use them well.
Mr Francis Kwaku, Headmaster of Ziope Senior High School, commended President John Dramani Mahama and Mrs Azumah-Mensah for championing ICT education in the country.
He said though his school was just two years old, it was ‘galloping and can boast of good learning and teaching materials and infrastructure.’
Mrs Sylvia Draphor, Headmistress of Agortime Senior High School, said she was grateful to Mrs Azumah-Mensah for her continuous support to schools in the constituency.
