AC Milan duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Nigel De Jong shared a big comfortable sofa as they watched Champions League action on Wednesday.
The two appeared cheerful watching Barcelona draw 2-2 at PSG while keeping an eye on Bayern Munich’s 2-0 win over Juventus on a big screen television.
Both Milan players could have been the ones in action rather than watching after surrendering a simile healthy two-goal lead in their second leg clash against Barcelona in the last round of the prestigious competition.
The Rossoneri were hammered by the Spanish giants 4-0 to seal passage to the last eight and set up another mouthwatering clash against PSG.
Barcelona however took the first leg advantage on Wednesday despite giving away a late equalizer to secure a vital away draw against the French big spenders.
While Juventus also suffered a 2-0 first leg defeat at the hands of German giants Bayern Munich.
The future of both Boateng and De Jong remain uncertain – particularly the Ghanaian whose contract expires next summer.
The former Portsmouth player could be handed an improved deal – almost twice better than his current contract that fetches him 2.5m Euros annually.
But Milan appear unwilling to extend their wage bill with such commitments – further fuelling rumours the Rossoneri will be ready to cut their costs and cash-in on Boateng at the end of the season.
