The losers reaction was swift and almost pulled parity in 34 minute.
A minute on, Prince Baffoe pounced on a misplaced pass in the Weavers area; tapped it past Kweku Atsu to consolidate the visitor’s cruise.
Kotoko continued to mount pressure and got the third goal through Nafiu Iddrisu who capitalised on a defensive blunder before Eric Donkor scored the fourth to seal victory.
Weavers’ Alorvor Kwasi grabbed a consolation from the spot later in the game after Christopher Asare was brought flying in the box. Kotoko will now play Rainbow FC on April 10, in the round of 16 stage of the competition.
