We are looking for an Administrator to join our team.
Job Title: Administrator
Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra Region
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrator is responsible for:
- Providing administrative and financial services
- Ensuring that financial and administrative regulations are complied with is responsible for financial management, such as cash withdrawals, keeping the cashbox, bank accounts, preparing and entering vouchers (Cashbook and Bankbook)
- Prepares the Withholding Tax schedule and payment
- Follows up on VAT issues
- Prepares and organises internal meetings and trainings
- Trains new development advisors in the administrative and financial procedures and formulas to use
- Co-ordinates with the GIZ office and the GIZ Head Office on the mode of service delivery
- Carries out internal controls, advises on financial aspects of projects
- Is responsible for filing documents in reference files or in DMS in line with GIZ’s filing rules
- Manages confidential files
- Performs other duties and tasks at the request of management
Qualification and Requirements
Formal Education:
- University degree in relevant specialisation and qualification in business administration (equivalent of BA or MBA)
Professional Experience:
- At least 5 years professional experience in a comparable position
- Other knowledge, additional competence:
- Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (SAP, MS Office)
- Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- Very good knowledge of the English and German language
- In-depth understanding of financial planning and accounting
- Board experience of management and administration
- Results-oriented performance
- Good communication skills
- Team player willingness to update skills as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
