Late Ghanaian actor Michael Moncar will be laid to rest this weekend after a funeral ceremony that is anticipated to attract large number of mourners including actors and the actor’s fans.
His mortal remains will be picked from the morgue on Friday, April 5 at 10am to Dansoman, his residence, Hse No. 42 Mahogany Close.
He will be laid in state from 6am to 9am on Saturday morning for viewing.
That will be followed by pre-burial service which will begin at 9.30am prompt and then to the Osu cemetery for his interment.
Final funeral rites will take place at Dansoman, Toney Park (Mr. Foods).
The family, within the week, extended an invitation to all practitioners in the film industry as well as the late Moncar’s friends to give the brother a befitting burial and funeral ceremony.
Michael Moncar passed away early last month March. It is still unclear what caused his death. Until his death, he was known as one of Ghana’s celebrated actors and had a number of movies to his credit. He also worked behind the scenes for the first Ghana Movies Awards in 2010.
