Rlg CEO Grabs Top Award





The Chairman of AGAMS Group and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rlg Communications Limited, Roland Agambire, has been honoured for his entrepreneurship achievements.

He was adjudged ‘Ghana’s Leading Businessman of the Year’ by the City People Magazine of Nigeria at the 16th City People Awards for Excellence, 2013 at Balmoral Event Center, Oregun in Lagos recently.

The award ceremony, which was organised by Nigeria’s leading celebrity and lifestyle publication, City People Magazine , recognized individuals and corporate bodies who stood above their peers in the year 2012. Currently,  Rlg operates in Nigeria.

Mr. Agambire’s award comes barely a month after he had unveiled what has been described as the most ambitious project costing $10 billion, comprising an ICT Park and a development enclave, intended to create jobs for over 50,000 people.

Receiving the award, Mr. Agambire said Rlg Communications Limited is determined to make positive impact on the continent, saying ‘we remain focused to turn Ghana and Africa at large into a acknowledge-society and an active player in the global economy’.

‘One thing we in Rlg believe in is the youth. I believe the youth are our future and currently we train and employ thousands of young men and women not only in Ghana but in Nigeria and the Gambia, and I believe most of them will be assembling and fixing your Rlg phones and devices right here in Nigeria.’

Mr. Agambire has won several prestigious awards and is currently the reigning Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Marketing Man of the Year.

CIMG also adjudged Rlg phones as Product of the Year 2011 while the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) latest Ghana Club 100 listing also ranked Rlg as the 2nd Best Company in Ghana in addition to being the Fastest Growing Company, the Leader in Ghana’s ICT Sector and the Best Entrant into the Club.
