MTN, the leading telecommunications service provider, is drawing to a close its 100-day Dream Big X’treme promotion with a draw for the ultimate jackpot prize of ₵150,000.00.
The lucky winner of the jackpot will be randomly selected from the list of MTN subscribers who participated in the 100 day promotion.
The draw will take place on Monday April 8th, 2013 at the head office of MTN Ghana, Ridge Towers in Accra, after which the ultimate winner will be announced. The selection process will be supervised by the Gaming Commission of Ghana and the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
The promotion, which was launched on 27th December, 2012 will end at midnight on 7th April, 2013. So far, three lucky winners have each driven home a sleek Jaguar XF2012 in the monthly draws. They are Elvis Baidoo, a PhD student of KNUST; Samuel Oduro, an entrepreneur from Sunyani; and Prince Owusu Boakye, also a businessman who deals in electrical appliances and hails from the Ashanti Region.
A total of 95 people have had their lives enriched with GH₵5,000 each. Over 9,000 people have also won airtime over the past 95 days, while 190 android phones have so far been won by some lucky winners.
Subscribers who want to increase their chances of winning daily prizes for the remaining days and attempt to win the life changing jackpot of GHc150, 000.00 can improve their chances by texting WIN to MTN short code 2020 and responding to trivia questions to accumulate points.
Subscribers can also call 2020 and listen to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) in English, Twi, Ga, Ewe, Hausa or Dagbani. The rate for SMS or IVR is GH¢ 0.75 per use.
MTN Ghana wishes to alert customers to be mindful of possible scams during the period of the promotion. Customers should note that winners of daily prizes will be published in the newspapers and on MTN’s website www.mtn.com.gh. Winners will also be contacted via MTN’s official line 0244300000. Redemption of prizes is free and winners will not be asked to make any payments in cash or in kind.
