Ghana midfielder Bennard Kumordzi wants to mark his debut season in the Belgian top flight with silverware as his Genk side gear up for the play-offs.

The 27-year-old joined the Pro League side at the start of the season from France after a short stint with Dijon.

After helping Genk compete favourably in the Europa League and their subsequent exit from the competition, Kumordzi has turned his attention to securing Champions League football next season by winning the Pro League title.

Kumordzi was influential for Genk in their 2-1 away victory over Anderlecht and he feels they can just do it.

“It was great playing in the Europa League and the stage we go to, so we get extra motivation to push up and win the league title in the play-offs and there we see Champions League football for the coming season,” he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

He made 18 Pro League appearances for Genk and scored twice in the regular season.
