Just Friends: Yvonne Nelson speaks on her choice of Ice Prince for ‘House of Gold’

IMG 0668 Just Friends: Yvonne Nelson speaks on her choice of Ice Prince for ‘House of Gold’Yvonne Nelson returned from the United States of America yesterday afternoon to a well organized reception. She spent a little over a week shooting a movie with John Dumelo, and the Haitian Hollywood star Jimmy Jean-Louis.

Miss Nelson answered questions from the media, in a light-hearted session that went from her relationship with the Nigerian musician Ice Prince Zamani, MediaGh, producers of her upcoming movie ‘House of Gold’, work ethics in the U.S.A, her blacklisting of some Ghanaian journalists and her role in the Hollywood-produced movie, with Jean-Loius.

She agreed that the decision to feature Nigerian musicians Ice Prince Zamani and Omawumi in the movie, is purely commercial. “I believe they have their own audience, their own market and I’m targeting…you know it’s a marketing strategy,” she said. “I’m not just thinking oh lets just shoot a movie, i’m also thinking about the marketing part of it. That’s why I brought in people like Ice Prince and Omawumi”.

“I decided to produce because I wanted to challenge myself,” she added.

House Of Gold premieres at the Silverbird cinemas on April 12. The movie also features Majid Michel, Eddie Watson, Francis Odega and Luckie Lawson.

It was produced by MediaGH and YN productions, and directed by Pascal Amanfo .
