One of Joy FM’s treasured radio presenters Jamie Adjetey has passed on.
The prolific radio personality who graced Joy FM’s airwaves with classic and soothing Jazz, Old School and R&B tunes was reported dead Tuesday.
It is, however, unclear what might have caused his death.
Jamie was the host of the Multi-track show which aired Mondays and Wednesday nights as well as Jazz Soul on Thursday afternoons.
He treated listeners to exciting blend of music from different genres. Jamie was one of the many DJs who thrilled patrons of Joy FM’s Keteke Fever.
During his stint with Joy FM, he carved a niche for himself as one personality who always brought exceptional excellence and sheer professionalism to his job.
Jamie is the son of former Speaker of Parliament Peter Ala Adjetey – who died in 2008 – and a brother to Larry Adjetey and a former Joy FM staff, Gabby Adjetey. He was 49 years.
The announcement of his death is coming barely 24 hours after Joy FM also lost another personality, Amos Ballingston Ghanney. Amos was with the Marketing Department.
