Ghana’s Under-17 chairman Fred Crentsil is urging the side to take inspiration from the Black Satellites feat in Algeria to win the 2013 African Under-17 Championship.

The Black Starlets are on a training tour in Italy ahead of the start of the championship in Morocco.

Ghana’s Under-20 team managed to grab silver at the recently concluded African Youth Championship and the U17 chief believes the feat will serve as real boost to the team to win the title.

“I don’t think it put pressure on any of us rather it’s going to motivate us to ensure we get to the finals and at least succeed to bring the cup home,” Crentsil said

“We have missed out on two tournaments and this is the time that we going in there to ensure we bring back the trophy.

“We have won it before and I believe with the support and prayers of Ghanaians we can go places.”

The Ghanaians find themselves in a tricky group where they battle rivals Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Congo.
